  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MySQL 5.5 Upgrade

Dear all,

I'm a very happy and satisfied Parallels-customer and Plesk-Admin since version 7.x.

Did anyone ever try to upgrade to MySQL version 5.5 on RHEL 5.6 (64 Bit)?

Sadly the latest version of MySQL is not available through the official RH-Repos yet.

The background is, a client asks for the new event scheduler in mySQL5.

Thanks for any reply.

BR

Hello, I am also interested in upgrading PHP and MySQL, which are both older versions that don't work with the version of the Moodle learning management system I need to upgrade to. I should point out that I am running Plesk 11 with the CentOS 6.4 operating system. The main concern for me is that I don't screw up my entire installation, which works perfectly otherwise. In other words, how safe is going what is suggested in http://www.thelinuxchef.com/to-upgr...ing-linux-server-pleask-running-linux-server/ ? Regards
