  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MySQL log big size, auto shrink?

Burnout

New Pleskian
Hello,

They mysqld.log file in %plesk_installdir%\Databases\MySQL\Log gets pretty big now -> 1,77GB.

Can I just delete this file? Is it possible that MySQL cleans up that file itself?

Kind regards,

Burn

The file has been growing till > 2GB now. I think I'm going to delete it.

Is there a logrotation possibility please?

Regard,

Burn

What about just removing mysql logging in MySQL config file?

I can suggest you create some logrotation.bat script for this purpose and run it periodically via created Scheduled Task in Plesk.
