  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Only one IP - SSL

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

I use only one IP on a PSA Box... I host multiple domains on the same IP.

I want to add a certificate to a new domain (only one domain, like secure.domain.tld) for true secure access
to webmail/PSA.

So, if I buy a SSL certificate for only the secure.domain.tld, will it work for this particular domain, even if the IP is shared with other domains?

No, SSL certificates require their own IP address. The address cannot be shared with other domains.

If you have one IP, you can have one secure cert for one domain.

You can host as many domains as you like, but only one can be secure.

That's what I thought!

Now, what I want to do is to have one secured domain, something like SECURE.DOMAIN.TLD.
Which in Plesk config will be an independant domain (not a subdomain).

But how can I securely access the webmail? As I have to use SECURE.DOMAIN.TLD and not WEBMAIL.SECURE.DOMAIN.TLD, or els the certificate will not work?!

Thanks for your advice!
