• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question on this one: Is Bind installed on the server and is the server using Plesk DNS?

No, it does not. I thought that this might be the case when the Plesk DNS is not installed. We're not using it here. I am not sure whether it worked before the recent updates, because I'd never used it.

@Rasp The linking is correct. The option for "Forbid users to create DNS subzones in other users' DNS superzones" is part of the server settings page.

You're right, I didn't notice the option was actually on the server settings page. Thanks for pointing this out. I was expecting the option to have it's own page.

I do NOT have that option on the general server settings page.

Now this is interesting, because it means that indeed it is missing when Plesk DNS is not installed. However, in that case the main menu entry should also be removed when Plesk DNS is not installed.
