• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Outgoing mail restrictions

Hi, the restriction for outgoing mail is a very nice feature and protects our server from beeing blacklisted easily.
But every user who has access to the control panel can set override setting by himself. There is no way to change this.
I would like to see a role for mail-users, which allows the user to set up a vaccation message, set a relay adress or to change his password but not ot change the quota for outgoing mail. That should only be done by the admin.

greetings

Markus

Yes, but in fact user is limited by limit of subscription. I.e. user can't set up limit on mailbox more than limit of domain user can't set up limit on domain more than limit of subscription. This is flexibility of reallocation.

thanks for that explanation - I was wondering the same thing myself and had not realized that user can't place a higher value than the one set by the administrator
