I've been chasing my tail trying to understand the link between the Administrative user (i.e., admin) and the Administrative user's e-mail (entered into the Profile & Preferences area [e.g., me@mydomain.com]): Am I understanding correctly that...
Unlike standard users, the e-mail address of the Administrative user (me@mydomain.com) can not be used to login to the panel?
The password for the e-mail address of the Administrative user (me@mydomain.com) is also the password for the user admin to login to the panel?
How did everything get locked-in to me@mydomain.com?
How did everything get locked-in to me@mydomain.com? Is it possible to change the e-mail address associated with the Administrative user (in the Profile & Preferences area) from me@mydomain to something different (e.g., administrative@mydomain.com)?
This is not as simple as it might sound: If I change the address in the e-mail field to administrative@mydomain.com (in the Profile & Preferences area) and add a user account for me@mydomain.com...
The panel treats me@mydomain.com as an external address (even though it already exists [locally])!
And, if I attempt to change my e-mail password (me@mydomain.com) I'm redirected to the user profile for administrative@mydomain.com instead of the user profile for me@mydomain.
