  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Panel Upgrade to 11.5 failed! Please help!

Hi!

I have tried upgrading the Plesk Panel (from 11.0.9 to 11.5) using the Parallels-Installer on XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8447
But the upgrade-process crashed during the upgrade. The server became very slow and the SQL-Database was not responding anymore...

I have rebooted the machine. --> The server runs again. Webserver, Database and Mailserver are running fine again. But the Plesk-Panel is destroyed... :(
When I try to access Plesk on port 8443 it only says:
get_config_string failed: CATALINA_HOME: The system cannot find the file specified. (Error code 2) at RegQueryValueEx valueName=CATALINA_HOME


Here are the last few lines of the installation-log.txt
It says I need to contact product support...

Can someone please help me repair the panel and finish the upgrade?

Ah sorry, I forgott the server specs:

Windows 2008 R2 (64 Bit)
The server is used as Web- and Mailserver. Therefor the main applications are: IIS7 and MailEnable 6.5
 
I can say only that 'upgrade-assist' package is always installed first. This package installs nothing on the file system and performs only one action - switching from Jet to SQL database engine for upgrade from old Plesk versions like 9.x.
If it failed - you have a problem with MSI installations or something else on Windows side. Therefore I suggest you contact Support Team if you can't fix it by yourself.
