• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

PHP Safe Mode Always ON

this still isn't fixed

This still isn't fixed as of today plesk 10.4.4 CentOS 5 1013111102.18 with all micro updates. The generated http.include files all have "php_admin_flag safe_mode on" even if you have it turned off in the admin control panel or in your php.ini .. Please fix!

php safe mode is always on---I have the same issue

My OS: Linux 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Pannel:10.4.4
PHP: PHP Version 5.3.6
Server: 64 bits

My global php safe mode is off, /var/www/vhosts/domain name/etc/php.ini safe mode is off. Also I turn off safe mode through plesk pannel php setting for that domain. However, the safe mode is always on if i install Joomla 1.7

When I configure joomla 1.7, I got:
Warning: dir() has been disabled for security reasons in /var/www/vhosts/domain name/httpdocs/libraries/loader.php on line 118

Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/domain name/httpdocs/libraries/loader.php on line 121

Does anybody have suggestion for me?

If you are struggling with the PHP, please remember that the individual settings for site will be stored in the registry.
Yes, very convenient...

But sometime deleting them all helpt me, although I also started to move my Joomla sites away from the Plesk servers.
It seems Parallels is more busy with new versions than fixing this PHP problem. It's there for months now.grrr.

For some it helps to add open_basedir: c:\inetpub\vhosts\yourdomain;\httpdocs\;C:\Windows\Temp\
So adding your website root and the windows temp folder in the site settings.

I have tried all and given up.

Bastiaan

PS better update to Joomla 2.5.4, better and safer.....
