  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

php7 and memcached

Franco

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

I think I managed to install memcached on the server (CentOs 6.7), at least it shows it's running with

#ps aux | grep memcached

and then I tried to get memcache configured for php7, but I cannot see it under the Plesk 12.5 php handlers. I followed a few tutorials and https://devblog.plesk.com/2015/08/adding-custom-php-modules-in-plesk/ in particular, while adapting the various commands and replacing 5.6 with 7.0.

All seems fine till almost the end, but "# plesk bin php_handler --reread" never comes back. How long one should wait?

What am I missing, please?

Regards
Franco

For example. on my test server I see:

[root@ppu12-5 ~]# time plesk bin php_handler --reread

real 0m29.996s
user 0m1.095s
sys 0m1.362s

never comes back
Logs should be checked here or just enable debugging mode in Plesk and check output of this command.
