• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

phpbb 2.0.8a exploitable???

jtroher

Basic Pleskian
I see that the phpbb in the plesk 7.0.2 for windows is version 2.0.8a

Is this version safe to use? I thought everything below 2.0.11 was exploitable by that nasty worm that defaces sites?

Yes it is. It NEEDS to be upgraded to 2.0.11

Same with PHPMyadmin and PHP itself. I've tried updating both of these but only got PHP updated, phpmyadmin is using some funky php3 extension that I cannot seem to override. I'm kinda pissed off about that, at least with Ensim I can just copy over top of my folders with the Vendor released security patches or upgrades and the software is upgraded - SO SIMPLE! I can't seem to do that with Plesk, I have to do some convoluted upgrade process?? which is no where to be found in their documentation or on here

Ensim wins this round.....
