• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

When a client tries to install this package, and the mysql server is not localhost this package fails to set up.

First problem is the config file in content/engine/engine_config.php contains the wrong hostname

Second problem is that the database does get created on the remote mysql server but without the content, thus even after fixing the config file there is still no content at all thus failing the automation part of install applications via the application vault.

Is there a patch available for this or do we wait for an update?

Installed the new one to the control panel...same problem unfortunately.

Do you have the check box checked for disallowing of applications that dont support remote mysql?

At first it was not checked but we enabled it some time after this poblem started. The interesting bit is, even after enabling that option this application still show up as installable, thus it did not take away the problem either.
