• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Please Help.

New to the dedicated server game and I have a server running plesk 7. I had a program by Xcent.com installed, auction software at the following address.

http://www.adultadauctions.com/Auction

and the problem Im having is it keeps asking me to enter a password whenever I try to access anything under the membership file. go to the site, click LOGIN, or click MY MARKETPLACE and you will see the prompt. The guys from xcent.com who installed the software said that plesk is what was causing this problem and wanted $90.00 an hour to figure it out. I thought I would come here first and ask any of you who may be familiar with access problems like this what it could possibly be? any clues, your help is greatly appreciated.

and it doesnt seem to be permission settings. wont work no matter how I set the permissions.

It seems that something wrong with anonymous login for the link http://adultadauctions.com/adultadauctions.com_non_ssl/auction/APMyAuctions.asp

Synchronize anonymous account for web site adultadauctions.com_non_ssl and application pool in IIIS Manager and Computer Management and everything should be fine.. :)

And how would I go about doing that from plesk? like i said, im a noob when it comes to running my own server. I can do basic stuff but that sounds a little advanced for me.

1.Get anonymous user account name for affected domain
(IIS Manager->Web Sites->[domain]->properties->directory security tab->Edit);

2. Change password for this user in computer management (i.e. 12345, just any password you want);

3. Set the same password in IIS Manager->Web Sites->[domain]->properties->directory security tab->Edit

4. Set the same password in IIS Manager-> Application Pools->[pool]->properties->identity tab.

Also this anonymous user account (IUSR_xxx) should have read and execute permissions for this domain httpdocs files.

:)

How much is it worth to someone to log into my server and correct this error. My host at EV1 doesnt seem to understand this problem.
