• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 10.4.4 incompatible with MS Outlook?

alphredo

New Pleskian
We care experiencing a huge issue with all our domains (and related customers) managed by (Plesk 10.4.4 Update #47).
All the email accounts that are trying to send email using Outlook have autentication failure.
The problem in only with sending email (SMTP autentication error) and only with outlook clients.

Is there any Plesk Outlook incompatiblity??
This is a URGENT issue, we have all the customers quite upset.

Please check the outlook settings that 'use SPA' is not selected and that in outlook 'my outgoing server requires authentication..use same settings as incoming'

Unless you have PCI the server or changed settings to use SMTPS instead the above should be the best settings.

We manage thousands of servers with Plesk 10.4.4 working with Outlook so there is no known issue it is just a matter of getting the settings right.

try other mail clients to see if it is a wider issue such as connecting to port 25.
