  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 10.4.4 on openSUSE 12.1 -> No Firewall settings possible

PicoPico

New Pleskian
Hi There,

I just made a fresh installation of Plesk 10.4.4 on a freshly installed openSUSE 12.1 (x64) box and am not able to make any change to the firewall settings. When I try to apply the changes I get the following messages:

ERROR: PleskFatalException

Unsupported kernel version: 3.1.9-1.4-default

0: common_func.php3:150
psaerror(string 'Unsupported kernel version: 3.1.9-1.4-default')

2: FwConfigurator.php:311
FwConfigurator->render(integer '2')
3: modules.firewall.edit.activate.php:44
plesk__modules__firewall__edit__activate->accessItem(string 'GET', NULL null)
4: UIPointer.php:595
UIPointer->access(string 'GET')
5: plesk.php:45

Can anyone point me to any howto/fix? Now all the ports are open... :-(

Thank you very much in advance!

Pico

is there any foreseeable date for the fix? my server is running (a few months already) with a firewall that has as many holes as a piece of swiss cheese...

thank you very much,
pico

PicoPico, AFAIK, this and multiple other issues with firewall are fixed in Plesk 11 (especially for SuSE 12.1).

Hi Nikolay,

Thank you very much for the reply.
I updated to v. 11 and can confirm that the problems are solved.

Cheers,
Pico
