• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 11.5 + Upgrading from Debian 6.0.7 to 7?

Maxunit941

New Pleskian
Dear Plesk Community, Support Team and Developers :)

I'm currently running a Debian 6.0.7 x64 Server with Plesk 11.5 and wanted to upgrade to Debian 7, since I also want to run Game Servers and came across some issues, which either can only be solved by adding the experimental branch to Debian 6.0.7's sources.list (mainly eglibc being outdated for Valve's Source Dedicated Server Software).

Now, if I would follow the procedure to update Debian 6 to 7, will Parallels Plesk 11.5 still work and will all data be kept in place? Or would it be better to just add the experimental sources to the sources.list and upgrade the eglibc from 2.11.3-4 to 2.17?

Greetings,

Benjamin "Maxunit941" B.

I suggest you install fresh Pleskk 11.5 on Debian 7 server with all necessary updates and then migrate Plesk from old server to new.
