  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 9.3.0 - Any issues with upgrading PHP ?

Hi guys,

Desperately seeking help / advice here as we have been given a run around on this.

We took out a Centos VPS server with our hosts which comes with plesk 9.3.0 pre installed and runs PHP 5.1.6

We have migrated our sites from a windows VPS that was running PHP 5.2 / 5.3 (was an option) Some of our site processes are not working properly which we haev been told is because PHP 5.1.6 is not compatible with them. Furthermore we have been told that PCI compliance will be an issue with 5.1.6

When we asked our host about upgrading the PHP we were told basically it was a DIY job but to check with plesk that 9.3.0 would be compatible with the upgraded PHP. Plesk support ticket system unfortunately directs us back to the hosts. So my question if anyone can help me out is - Is Plesk 9.3.0 compatible with PHP 5.2 and / or 5.3 - will there be any issues if PHP is upgraded ?

Thanks very much for your time.

There may be problems with Horde email after upgrade to php 5.3
version 5.2 is OK

I have no issues with Horde, Plesk 9.5.4 and PHP 5.3
