• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

plesk and wordpress automatic updates conflict

Noturns

Regular Pleskian
Something resulted in the disappearance of important WP-files within the WP-Content directory of a subscription which resulted in displaying the default Wordpress Setup page.

I have Plesk updates set to automatic update
and i have my Wordpress updates set to auto-update

I looked at the Plesk update log and could not find anything related to wordpress.
I think a recent Plesk update was triggered during a Wordpress update and caused some unfortunate minor issue which was easy to solve by restoring an FTP backup. However i'm not sure how Plesk handles simultaneous updates.

List of updates that where recently installed:
Wordpress update
New version: 4.2.2-106. Previous version: 4.1.1-81

Plesk update
http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...tm?platform=unix&locale=en-US&version=12.0.18.

Is there a maintenance windows in Plesk where users can set Plesk to handle simultaneous updates?

Hi Noturns,

This is the first time we hear about this issue, and it doesn't seem to be something that can be resolved through the forum. I would suggest to file a support ticket to our support team so that we can investigate and resolve it - if it's a bug in Plesk, you'll be refunded, obviously.
