• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Plesk default page on all domains hosting on my server... but not for all visitors

Cyb

New Pleskian
Hi,
I have a very strange pb (sorry for my english)
Since a datacenter electrical pb since november 9, i have a pb with one of my plesk servers.
A growing number of clients hosted on this server Plesk Onyx 17.3 report that they see the default page plesk for their site. But me and several other clients always see the sites correctly.
I restarted Apache.
I restarted all services.
This is not a domain routing problem because the webmail.domain.com works for example.
I managed to reproduce the problem by stopping the website from Plesk ("suspended website"). From my PC I see the default page of Plesk. It's normal. I reactivate the website, and there, I see the page Plesk from my PC (like my custumers). On the other hand from my two 3G / 4G mobile phones, which I did not use for the tests ... I see the website correctly. Can you help me ?

When you are testing, remember to clear the browser cache and to "reload" the page in the browser afterwards. Else the browser may still display the former page.

When you are using the Plesk DNS component and are using different IP addresses on your host, you will need to flush your local system's DNS cache, too, after updates to the host's configuration. Else the DNS cache might point to a wrong IP address.

To make sure that all domains have the correct configuration file sin place, run
# plesk repair web

Sorry, of course we have already done all this tasks a few days ago :
- browser caches were cleaned
- page in the browser reloaded
- we are not using different IP on our host
- local system's DNS flushed
- plesk repair web done
I suppose it can be a fail2ban problem maybe. I have no other idea.

Remember :
- some users see all hosted website without issues
- other users do not see any of the hosted wesites
- a subdomain like webmail.domain.com has no problem even if domain.com's website can not be reached (default page by Plesk)
- mails are ok (not routing problem then)

Would this explanation be valid? Apparently only the users of the ISP Orange are impacted. I think of a malfunction of the CDN. Orange uses Akamai CDN.
