  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

I am getting this error when I click on the firewall icon in Plesk 7.5.3 for Windows:

winfwmng failed: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Does anyone know how to fix this?...

Thanks in advance!

Try to go server>component managem, ent>firewall and choose None, then go back and choose firewall again.

I tried this and still getting errors. I tried a clean install and still does the same thing.

Thank you all for your replies!...

I have found what the problem is!...

If you have a Firewire port (1394), go to Network Connections, in the Windows Control Panel, and disable the Firewire Adapter (1394).

I guess Plesk can't handle Firewire just yet!

That will do the trick!..

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. Whats the best procedure or practice here? Windows 2003 Standard edition and Plesk 7.5.3.

Can sp1 be applied to the current build?

You should be able to apply Windows Server 2003 SP1 with no problem at all!

But then again! With Plesk you never know what can happen!

So make sure you do a full system backup before you do so!
