• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk is using /etc/php.ini

Basic Pleskian
I've double checked here: http://kb.parallels.com/es/111697 to be sure, but as far as i know Plesk was always using a custom php.ini for each domain. Now i've discovered using php -i that it's using the one located into the etc folder. why? how can i fix this? why is plesk using that php.ini? is that normal?

I'm using Plesk 10.4.4

Hi MiguelG,

How do you use php?

1) Is it from a web server using cgi / mod_php / FastCGI ?
2) Is it from a server's command line (crontab) ?

Hi MiguelG,

PHP loads additional configuration files from /etc/php.d folder.
As example, /etc/php.d/00-ioncube-loader.ini. These ini files are configs for PHP extensions.

You can check which PHP ini files are loaded into a website's php environment using a web page with PHP extension (like test.php) and following content:
<?php phpinfo() ?>

You should create the web page file above. Then you should open this web page in a web browser and then look for:
"Loaded Configuration File" and "Additional .ini files parsed"
