  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk + MSSQL 2005 on Windows 2008

Alright I installed MSSQL 2005 and then installed Plesk 9 on Windows 2008 Web.

Plesk runs fine as does the MSQL 2005 Server but when trying to add a database I cannot get Plesk to recognize the MSQL Server. I already did what was advised here (http://kb.odin.com/en/1120) but and still having issues. Any ideas?

I need to note in order to manage MSSQL, you should have MSSQL support on your Plesk license. As far as I know iftis paid add-on. Also you can check it in Plesk->server->license management ->mssql support
