• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Plesk Packages Update

nate

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I'm trying to update Plesk packages in the system update tool:
  • docker-engine 17.04.0~ce-0~ubuntu-xenial (Docker APT Repository for ubuntu-xenial by Docker)
  • login 1:4.2-3.1ubuntu5 (Ubuntu for xenial by Ubuntu)
  • passwd 1:4.2-3.1ubuntu5 (Ubuntu for xenial by Ubuntu)
But I'm receiving the error message:
Error: Unable to receive update information for the package(s)

Normally packages update fine, is there anyway to help this update along?

Thanks

Hi nate,

pls. consider to add standart source.list 's to be able to use "apt-get", "aptitude" or "dpkg"

For "docker" files, you should read for example:

=> New Apt and Yum Repos - Docker Blog ( Updating Apt Sources )

For "login" and "passwd", you should consider to use the standart sources list from your operating system vendor. You could find such lists for Ubuntu Xenial at for example:

It's actually started working now, I think it was a peering issue between my servers data center

Thanks for the info though
