• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk updates only between Monday and Thursday?

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

All

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Plesk Updates /admin/pum/settings is set to
> Automatically install Plesk updates (Recommended)

I would find it useful if these updates were not performed by the system on a Friday or on the weekend. If there is ever a problem, then you yourself are not available or/and the technicians. The plesk update can go through successfully, but still cause problems.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

I received my last plesk update on a Saturday. It went through flawlessly, but if something had gone wrong, I wouldn't have known until Monday, since I was where there was no internet.

ACTUAL RESULT

Plesk updates when no technician is available.

EXPECTED RESULT

Plesk should update only on days when technicians are available.

You can actually specify a update window on which automatic Plesk Updates are allowed to be installed the panel.ini file. This currently only applies to updates for Plesk it self. Not for OS updates, extension or third party elements. In the panel.ini file you can specify:

Code:
[updates]
updateDays = sunday,monday,tuesday,wednesday,thursday
timeFrameStart = 01
timeFrameEnd = 06
