Postfix + PHP Mailer - Change User

Hi guys,
I've just moved over to Postfix from Qmail, now when I send an email from a php script it comes from

my_plesk_ftp_username@mail.mydomain.com

how can I change this? to say

mailer@mydomain.com
or
mailer@mail.mydomain.com

I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS with Plesk10.4.4 MU#41.

You can change this in php.ini on a global scale. Just look for the commented section about email.

I've had some success in changing if for individual domains using vhost.conf with mod_php but it should deflinitely work using the php settings tab when using php in fastcgi mode.

Hmm, no that didn't work.
It changed it in php info but the CreLoaded mailer ignored it.
I think it must be this CRELoaded "sendmail" setup.
I will look it to it some more over the weekend.

You should rather fix the php mailer script instead, it's broken. See http://php.net/manual/en/function.mail.php - you can use the 5th parameter to specify the envelope sender address.
