  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Power User and IP Managemet

Antonio Sanchez

New Pleskian
I have a server with Power User Gui active.

I have 5 domains with no problems.

I have create a certificate for one of this domains wihout problems.

I know tha Plesk 10 can do multiple SSL Cerfificates over the same IP.

I have a second IP and I want to associate it to one of the other domains exclusivelly. I have added the IP to the server but it is not possible (or I can't find howto) vinculate this second IP with one domain in Power User Gui.

Could it be done? How?

Is as simple as configure the DNS pointing this domain?

Thanks in advance.

Since 10.2 Plesk has SNI (Server Name Indication) technology supported - this is enabled on CentOS 5, CentOS 6, Debian 6, etc. With this technology you don't need second IP for domain - just apply your certificate to a domain, see documentation for details

If that doesn't fit you, then you can setup another webspace on additional IP and host your domain there.

Additional IP won't be required if just one of your domains needs SSL. Just choose a domain and apply certificate.
