• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Premium Outgoing Anti-Spam killed mail server

Grant2013

New Pleskian
Hi,

I installed the premium outgoing anti-spam extension to try it out and after installing and trying to activate it I was told that my license key wasn't valid.

So I uninstalled it and since then no email is coming in or out of my server for any of the domains located on my VPS.

Here is an SSH maillog excerpt - you can see that everything is failing...

Suggestions please?

You need an additional license to use outgoing anti-virus. You will have to either get a license or remove the outgoing anti-virus to return functionality to your server.

I know this thread is old but I came across it tonight looking for a solution to the same problem over a year later. After installing and then removing the Premium Outgoing Anti-Spam Extension it will kill all mail on your server. I'm not too knowledgeable about this stuff so all I did was re-install the component and now mail works fine on my server again. Maybe tell people it's a premium extension BEFORE they install it?? Or tell them it will destroy the mail on your server if you try to remove it? lol Common sense.
