• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I added a user YYY with email address x@xx.com
I then deleted them
I then added them again, and tried to assign the email address x@xx.com but I get

The e-mail address x@xx.com is associated with another user (YYY). Please specify another address.

However, xxx does not appear on the email list or anywhere else I can see, and I can't find any entry for YYY either.

How can create a user YYY with an email of x@xx.com?
 
Have you checked the admin page for your mail server ? If using MailEnabl, go to Start -> All programs -> MailEnable -> Mailenable Administrator Make sure the email address mailbox doesn't exist for the domain
 
No luck

There was no entry in the MailEnabl for the domain for that account, so I created one and tried to send it a message - no luck, then deleted it and tried to set one up in Plesk again... same "in use" message as before
 
Looks like you will have to edit the plesk database to remove the entry for that email address. If you are unaware of how to do this then you may have to open a ticket with parallels so they can do it for you. If you do this make sure to create a backup first!

You need to remove the email entry from the table 'mail' .
