Problem Migration from Plesk 7.5.4 to 9.2.3

Hello,

my old Plesk installation with 7.5.4 "is gone", but I have a full backup

Now I reinstalled my root server with Plesk 9.2.3 and tried to migrate my backup.

Here is what i have tried:
1) copy the backup to new installation
2) Plesk (clean install) -> Migration Manager -> choose local file, pointed to the backup file and started
3) after waiting about one hour (my backup is 74GB) the "Please Wait" screen disappears and forwards me to the main plesk desktop, but there are no resellers, clients but the disk usage has grown up about 74GB...

After some research on my server, I found some logfiles, but the errors aren't very useful.
First log I found is the pmmcli.log at /usr/local/psa/PMM/logs.

Another log is called migration.log and resides in the same folder as my original backup file.

After many searches at google and the forums, I didn't find a solution or even an explanation whats wrong...

Are there other logs I missed? Is there a chance to import the "converted" backup? Or went something wrong with the conversion? Any chances to "rescue" the whole thing?

Every hint would be very nice

BTW: the KB5864 at http://kb.odin.com/en/5864 did not mention, that the backup from 7.5 cannot directly converted with pre9-converter, but other sources do so. Weird, issn't it? (I tried and it didn't do the trick)

Thanks for your advice... I found this thread right after posting and started the migration...

The conversion from 7.5.4 to 8.x ran over 8 hours... And it took some finger-crossing that both backups fitted on the same harddisk (74GB + 67GB on a 150GB partition - thanks for compression!)... Now the conversion from 8.x to 9 is running...

After all: 2 days (counting) for trying to restore an backup from an older version is no fun... Seems like Parallels has spent many time on an migration agent for older versions, but didn't do so for migration of backups...
