• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
Hello
I' have a problem to recive the mail from external. The send are ok

IMAP/POP 3 SERVER: Dovecot
SMTP postfix

the port 110 and 143 is open

in the log file are present this message:

Mar 31 12:01:39 quizzical-dewdney dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<info@****>, method=PLAIN, rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, mpid=38750, TLS, session=<FDyh4NO+0$
Mar 31 12:01:39 quizzical-dewdney dovecot: service=imap, user=info@****, ip=[127.0.0.1]. Logged out rcvd=117, sent=1018

Are you having trouble with actually receiving email in your mailbox, or with connecting to your mailbox with POP3 or IMAP?

Mar 31 12:01:39 quizzical-dewdney dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<info@****>, method=PLAIN, rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, mpid=38750, TLS, session=<FDyh4NO+0$
Mar 31 12:01:39 quizzical-dewdney dovecot: service=imap, user=info@****, ip=[127.0.0.1]. Logged out rcvd=117, sent=1018
Because this log entry only states that user info@**** has logged in using IMAP and logged out again imidietely after. It has no information on receiving an email message. Are there no other log entries?

watch this log when trying to receive mail
root@quizzical-dewdney:~# sudo tail -f /var/log/maillog

That's not showing incoming mail. That keeps showing the dovecot client .

your maillog should be tracking and showing any incoming and outgoing connections via postfix or any other SMTP app you setup.

An incoming message log should look similar to this
