  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Problem with update module

Erwan

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

We have recovered the maintenance of a server with Windows Plesk 10.4.4.
When we want to update Plesk (https://www.domain.net:8443/admin/update/product/), the window takes a very long time to display then there is a "timeout".

We tried by disabling the Windows firewall but it remains the same.

Are there any logs where we could have more information about the problem?

We have tried this: How to update or upgrade Plesk installation through the command line
But it doesn't work, Same thing with that: Upgrading Plesk for Windows Using Installer Console

An idea? Thanks a lot.

Thanks UFHH01.

In the autoinstaller3.log file, i've this message:

Could you please post here screenshot of the page when you go to "Updates source and installation settings" in your Plesk?

Try to update this setting - change, click OK, return it back and OK again.

It doesn't work.

Same thing when i use Plesk panel updater...

When i use msdos command line, we have in the autoinstaller3.log:

Hello Igor,

?
This is what I have already done (this is what I indicate in my 1st message) ... It is this procedure that causes the message in the log file...

Do you have file c:\.autoinstallerrc ? Or .autoinstallerrc in another location? If you find it - what is content of this file?

Igor,

I managed to get into the update console via the component update link: https://mydomain:8443/admin/update/add-components/...
?

So last question, we have Windows Plesk 10.4.4 and we can only update to Plesk 12.5.30 with the console....
The Onyx documentation says:
Plesk Onyx supports upgrade from the following earlier versions:
  • Plesk 12.5
  • Plesk 12.0
  • Plesk 11.5
  • Plesk 11.0
And not 10 (or 10.4.4.....)

Is there a big risk if I do the update 10.4.4 ==> 12.5.30?
Can we go before Plesk 11?

Thanks.

Erwan

I suggest you upgrade directly to 12.5.30 without any intermediate stages.

Hello Igor,

I've made the update.
Some problems but the installation is now operational. There is a last problem: the directory root does not take into account the default pages (index.aspx, index.asp, default.htm, index.htm ...: none is taken into account when they are well defined in "IIS parameters", "Default document" ...
An idea?

Thanks for all.
