• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

problems adding a slave zone

Chris_O

New Pleskian
Server OS: Debian 5.0
Plesk Version: 10.3.1

I have 2 Nameserver with bind 9 (server A and B).

I migrated some domains from server A to server C.
I deleted the migrated domains on server A.
I added slave zones to bind 9 on server A with master server C for migrated domains.
This worked like a charm for all but 2 domains.
Adding the the slave zone and host file is working without any problems.
As soon as I start rndc for these domains the host file is renamed to dx-xai5jotL and the transfer fails.

As this works for all domains never installed on server A, I suspect Plesk having the domain name stored somewhere in the depth of the Plesk nirvana.

Please advise where to search, how to solve.

Regard

chris
