  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Problems with PHP 5.2.5 Plesk 8.3

After installing Plesk 8.3, which installs PHP5.2.5, I have a PHP application that is broken now. The error is:

Error in my_thread_global_end(): 2 threads didn't exit

The number of threads varies, but the message is always the same.

I find no references in this forum to other users having this problem, however I tried a search here with PHP and i get no results, which is kinda odd.

Google pointed me to the bug forum on PHP where this problem has been talked about for over a year. In fact recent postings are from users fed up with this old bug not being fixed up yet by PHP. (see http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=41350&edit=1 )

My problem is that I can't use my PHP app with the old ver 4.4.7 due to that build having errors with fsock, and I can't use the 5.2.5 build in Plesk 8.3.

This app was working perfectly with the PHP distributed with Plesk 8.1 which I think was PHP5.2.

My question is , how can I go back to this earlier working build?

This is urgent as the application I'm talking about is our Billing software for Domain Hosting so we are offline till we get this fixed.

Any help appreciated
Kerry
