• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi All,

I can't login to my server by using an FTP-script (e.g. Joomla
Safe-Mode-Patch). I do get a message of having logged in, however after that
the script has a "hangup".

I copied a part from my logfile here:

With Google I discovered this problem has to do with ProFTPD in combination
with Suse. To my despite I haven't been able to find a solution yet..

Does anyone of you have an idea?
My OS is Suse v.10.0

Thanks in advance for any usefull replies.

Kind regards,
Marco.

Try stopping your firewall, try an upload - if it works, that's your problem.

That doesn't work!

Someone else any idea?

FTP Problem fixed

The most recent update from Plesk ( psa v8.0.1_build80061018.17 os_FedoraCore 2)appears to have fixed my FTP problem. All FTP funtions are working normally and my firewall is turned on (yeh!). Now the only issue is if I try to restart the firewall from the root (works fine from CP), it crashes the whole server and the only way to restart the server is to physically push the on/off button, as it dies. The FW is running, so I don't need to stop/restart the firewall now that the FTP is working.

The other issue that started with the update that fixed the FTP problem is that the PSA CP services shows that the QMAIL keeps stopping, but from the root it shows that it is still running and the logs show nothing, other than maybe an auto restart of the service after auto MAPS update by Spamassassin. I know it's all related, but it doesn't appear to be affecting mail service or spam filtering or the firewall, so I'm not touching anything.:)
