• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Publish via Frontpage to Subdomain

Hi - can anyone advise the best way to publish to a subdomain using frontpage ?

I'm thinking...

1. Create a subweb in fp mnager mydomain.com/sub - this can then be published to using fp.

2. Create a subdomain sub.mydomain.com

3. Alias the subdomain to the folder so when a browser visits the subdomain it sees the content from the subfolder.

My problem is point 3. How to alias / redirect this subdomain.

A simple index.htm with a meta redirect would work for a quick fix but the address bar would show the subfolder URL instead of the subdomain - i.e, whats the point in having a subdomain in the first place.

On this ocassion, the customer has produced advertising with the subdomain printed so currently they are in trouble because they cant publish to it on this plesk server.

Any ideas ?
