• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

qmail, amavis and clamav

New Pleskian
I'm using PLESK 9.3 with qmail. Now I would like to integrate antivirus scanning with clamav and amavisd-new. Is there a special howto available for integrating it into the psa-version of qmail?

amavisd-new 1.41 and clamav 0.95.3 are installed already

Can somebody share experience in this topic?

cheers

Its doable, but a chore. I had looked at packaging it up for plesk a while ago, but I didn't like the overall performance and overhead. I ended up packaging clapf as an alternative, which is basically the same thing but written in C.

I had a quick look on the thread created by you. Unfortunately you are using postfix. I have to do it with qmail instead.

cheers

Pardon I missed the qmail reference there. No you cannot use amavisd with qmail, what you should check out instead is qmail-scanner. Its also available in the atomic repo
