  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Question about the OSS implementation

DBZMelvin

New Pleskian
Hello guys i have a question about the new 17.8 Onyx OSS implementation for Amazon S3, Digitalocean Spaces and co.

I recently updated my Plesk to 17.8 and tried to add my OSS from Alibaba Cloud, i installed the Amazon S3 extension and configured it with the Custom (Minio, Openstack, etc.) selection but no success.

I'm getting this Error here:
Error: Unable to upload a file to the storage: The XML you provided was not well-formed or did not validate against our published schema.. Make sure you have granted the permission for multipart upload of files.

Any Ideas? Is that a wrong configuration on my side? or is this a problem with Plesk?

Thanks for the Answers

Melvin

I don't speak Italian but I'll take a stab at this...

I'm gonna say a permission issue on Alibaba's side.....

... and I'm ready to bet that of the 48 viewer of this thread at least 45 are still asking themselves what "OSS" means!
Heck, I even looked up in Wikipedia: OSS - Wikipedia (but I understand "Ovary Sparing Spay" can be ruled out...)

Yes my question is about the Object Storage Service implementation for remote backups.
Its not a permission problem i already checked that.
I found kinda answer, that the first "test upload file" is empty and the object in the bucket is not getting created, does plesk try to create an empty file in the bucket?
But maybe its just to early to expect an answer cause the people have to try it out themselves first.
Its still an early adopter release :p
