  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Recovering IIS

I have a dedicated hosted machine that uses the Plesk Control Panel (hosted by GoDaddy). Unfortunately the IIS configuration has gotten totally blown away. The plesk functionally appears completely intact (Tray icon shows services running, e-mail is working, I get a nightly notification, etc.)

However, when I try to access the Control Panel via IIS, I get various errors (currently 403 - Server Declined to Show Web Page).

Is there either:

a) A standard procedure for "reseting" the IIS configuration

b) A document containing the required settings so I can set them up manually.

Thanks in advance!

Qergius,

Thaks for the post, I am well aware of how to backup and restore IIS, unfortunately this did not happen on this particular hosted machine. After a bit of experimentation I was able to derive a combinations of settings (eg, the Home Diirectory was Wrong, the AppPool was wrong, and the version of ASP.NET was wrong....). by downloading the manuals and the trail onto a temporary virtual machine.
