  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Redirecting server IP to a domain?

Hello users,

when accessing my server directly by entering http://<serverIP>/, plesk shows a default page, displaying that the domain isn't configured.

Unfortunately, when specifying the IP as a new domain, I receive an error that my domain syntax isn't correct (who would've expected that :) )

Question: Is it possible to map the IP adress to a domain that is configured in plesk?

Thanks for your help,

Nils

HEllo,

It can be accomplished by setting a domain as default domain on an Ip.
It can be performed from the plesk server section > Ip addresses.

Then an apache restart.
