  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Remove "DNS Settings" icon from Control Panel

Hi

I am looking to implement Plesk as a replacement for our current webhosting platform. Customers currently do not manage DNS and this will not change on the new platform.

To avoid confusion I would like to remove the "DNS Settings" icon from the Control Panel. I have currently installed 10.4 in the hope that this is possible but have not found an option so far

Any help would be appreciated

Many Thanks

Steve

Did you try to use Simple View mode where you can hide interface elements?

Switch off "DNS zone management" permission in service plans. "DNS settings" icon will disappear.
