• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

removing mail from server

I have been using Plesk almost 2 months, and was a total newbie when I began, so I'm very proud of myself for setting up 20 domains and having no unresolved problems--or so I thought.

I just found 5000+ messages on my server in one email account that is forwarded to another address. All of those messages had been downloaded to my computer's email Inbox when they originally came to the forwarded address. So why are they still on the server and how can I make sure they don't build up again?

This hasn't happened with any of the POP emails I've set up or any of the other forwards, as far as I know.

I appreciate any help.

You probably have both redirect AND mailbox enabled. Go into the account's "Mailbox" and uncheck Mailbox.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I disable Mailbox, will the filters I set still be applied? I won't be able to see my mail online then, though, right? I have Mailbox enabled on for other forwarding accounts that don't have this problem.
Still confused.
