  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Renaming a webspace (Windows, PLESK 10.4)

Hello,

We've had a request from a client to rename their webspace name in PLESK 10.4... Is this possible (they've set up the webspace name as a domain, not understanding how webspace and websites/domains tabs differ).

Regards

Gary did you ever get an answer to this?

Is it only possible to name a webspace as a domain? This seems very limiting if so.

Just click the webspace name in the list of websites and domains and change the name. The webspace is named the same as the "main" domain in it. You can fake the name to smth like "xyz1234.mycompany.com" and then add a real domain within. The fake name has to follow domain name rules though.
