  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

Is it safe to upgrade to 8.1 now ? I have Plesk 8.0.1 on CentOS.

Hello,

From my experience this upgrade is safe to do.
I always do the upgrades from a command line and never had problems.
The only problem that might occur (I never experienced though, but I saw on the forum ) is the front-page problem.
I have to outline that none of the servers that I upgraded had fp problems , but if others experienced this then it has to be something in this.

Frontpage works for you ? they have stopped offering the extensions on 8.1 personally I think they should have not since not everone is going to drop using frontpage all of a sudden for microsoft new publisher people are still going to hang on the fp for a while..

Hello,

Yes, it works.
Even if you do a fresh install, you get the fp package from 8.0.1 and install it and it should work.
