  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Secure FTP

What's the approach for setting up Secure FTP (FTP over SSL) to a Plesk domain? Have searched through the forums and can't see any info.

You should install FTP server supporting SSL and to go Plesk > Server > IP Addresses > "IP address" to enable option Allow SSL over FTP.

When you say install an FTP server supporting SSL, will any version of proftpd work?

The reason I ask is because the RPM installed on my customer's server are custom psa rpms:

[root@leo ~]# rpm -qa *proftpd*
psa-proftpd-1.3.0-rhel4.build81061129.22
psa-proftpd-xinetd-1.3.0-rhel4.build81061129.22
[root@leo ~]#

Is there an officail proftpd from Parallels that has SSL functionality? Or should I download this from my OS vendors site?

Thanks in advance.
