  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Security and Firewall

DuerrSteidle

Basic Pleskian
Hello everybody,

I am new here and hope that I have landed in the right topic.

I use a server with Plesk Obsidian version 18.0.31. On it I have hosted several websites with WordPress. I haven't had much to do with Plesk so here is my beginner's question.

What is recommended regarding firewall and security. Up to now I have only secured my website with the free version of WordFence and NinjaFirewall. But now I see a WebApplicationFirewall and other extensions in Plesk, which I could install if necessary.

What would be the right approach here? Are there areas that I can secure in plesk and thus save plugins in WordPrss?

Thanks for your help!

Greetings
