  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Sending emails problem with Plesk 10.2

VicenteS

New Pleskian
Hi!

I'm having problems sending some emails, i'm getting this error:

Sorry, I couldn't find a mail exchanger or IP address. (#5.4.4)

I've tested the destination server with http://intodns.com and I know they have their server missconfigured

MX CNAME Check WARNING: CNAME was returned for the following MX records:
mail.gruposdm.com
The CNAME(s) that were returned are listed above. This is not ok per the RFCs and can cause problems including mail being lost!

Error MX A request returns CNAME WARNING: MX records points to a CNAME. CNAMEs are not allowed in MX records, according to RFC974, RFC1034 3.6.2, RFC1912 2.4, and RFC2181 10.3. The problem MX record(s) are:
mail.gruposdm.com points to ['i02.atnova.net']
This can cause problems

I was able to send them emails without a problem and after upgrading the issue appears.

I've tested with other server with plesk 10.1 and I can send it well.

Plesk 10.2 (or the new version of qmail) is very strict with RFCs. Are there any way to change this?

Thanks
