• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

PRODUCT, VERSION, VERSION OF MICROUPDATE, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

Windows Web Server 2008 SP2 + Plesk 11.0 x86

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

I've created an self-signing SSL-Certificate an set it up to my server-ip. Then, I got kicked from the server and now, on every site hosted on the server, even the Plesk Panel(https://xxxxxx:8443 is not reacheable. Server-Timeout.

One of the pages is tis one: http://feuerwehr-balgheim.de/

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Created self-signing Certificate, only filled in my full Name, Country and Domain.

Got kicked from the server, and now I have no possibility to access my server.

ACTUAL RESULT

Nothing.

Got File Acess with a recovery system, but this isn't really helping me.

EXPECTED RESULT

A working Plesk Panel would be nice.

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Is there any information on this problem?
I have found several posts on various forums with this problem, but no answers/solutions.

I have Plesk 11.5.30 installed on Linux. Due to the heartbleed issue, I tought after fixing that bug, I should also exchange all SSL certificates. I create a new self signed certificate for the server, made it default and the one plsek uses, and now I can not access the server anymore. I have tried restarting apache, and finally I rebooted the server, but this did not help. I tries both IE and FF.

I have shell access, but I have not idea where to look...

Actually not the solution to your problem, but probably cheaper:

Get a signed certificate from one of the cheap SSL certificate resellers. I bought a domain certificate from namecheap for only $9/year. I did this a day ago, worked well with the latest Plesk version on windows.

Spending more than one hour on this issue is way more expensive than spending $9. Time is money too :)
