  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Site preview settings - Can anyone help?

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I'm trying to view my sites using the "Quick Preview on a domain name in Plesk" setting. I notice that it modifies that domain's DNS records to include the IP with dashes, however when I attempt to preview any of the sites hosted, I get "server not found" from my browser. The URL is the correct syntax, but cannot seem to access the site.

I've tried turning DNS off and on for each hosted site, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Can anyone offer any help or advice?

Thanks,

MM

Thanks for your reply, however it doesn't solve my problem.

I had already found that KB article, and checked that all the settings were correct, and still my site preview function continues to return "Server not found".

But are you really sure that base domain is resolvable?

I can ping my site: vpsxxxx.ovh.net
I can ping my testsite: testsite.com.xx-xx-xx-xx.vpsxxxx.ovh.net

But when I go to view my testsite (which was created from the Parallels default site creator and contains the standard index.html file) I get "Server not found".
