• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Sitebuilder and Plesk Load time

Is my server just really slow or does sitebuilder and Plesk just take a long time to load each and every page.

I can wait a minute sometimes for sitebuilder wizard to load.
Any ideas to speed this up?

I'm running on a VPS Windows Server 2003.
I think I have about 1024 for ram

Later...
Ok, more like 3 - 4 minutes.

Could you give me Sitebuilder Wizard URL so I could check how long will it take to load wizard from my side?
Does this issue permanent one? Are you trying to access Wizard from the same server where Plesk and Sitebuilder installed?

I do not think this is your issue. Seems today it is working faster. Plesk is the slowest, but that also is exceptable. I do not mind that much for myself, but when my clients login to the control panel with Plesk or Sitebuilder there seems to be a long wait at times.

Some times I login to their computer using a remote desktop and there is a long wait at times.

Do you know anything about VPS systems? Is this the way to go with Plesk and Sitebuilder? I cannot afford a server yet.

It's not permanent, and Yes it is the same server.

I have checked this URL and when I tried to browse Wizard it took about 20-25 seconds to get response from the server and only after that it started to load content. I have also tried to pass all the steps and for displaying every step browser wasted about 20 seconds.
It looks like server is overloaded or something. I can suggest you to check server load when such delays exist. Do you have a lot of customers? If so, load can be caused by simultaneous Wizard access by several customers or something else.
If you find out that there are not enough resources for Sitebuilder it is better to add it and make some optimization for IIS, for example:

Hope it could be helpful for you.

I have forwarded this post to my server support. I'll post here what was needed to fix it.

They said everything was normal. I only have slow issues once in a while. I guess I'm ok.
