• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Spamassassin bayes not working

JP Kelly

Regular Pleskian
It seems that SA is not using bayes on the incoming messages. Any suggestions on getting bayes to work?
I have trained with plenty of ham and spam. Where are the db files for global bayes located?

According to the Spamassassin documentation the Bayes system is not activated until a certain number of ham (non-spam) and spam has been learned. The default is 200 of each ham and spam messages. It means that Spamassassin begins to filter mails (according to your trainings) after 200 spam mails and 200 none spam mails were learned. This statistics is needed to distinguish spam mails.

I understand this. That is why I stated: "I have trained with plenty of ham and spam." I have trained with over 1000 of each.

Where are the db files for global bayes located?

Check it here /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/user/.spamassassin/.spamassassin

AFAIK no global. We use individual bayes database for each user.
