SSL certificate gives errors on port 8443

I have installed a certificate for www.mydomain.org, which is marked as the default domain for a shared IP address.

I have installed it in the server repository as well, done the "set up", set it as the default certificate for the server, and set it as the default certificate for all my IP addresses.

It works great for https://www.mydomain.org/ (port 443), but not https://www.mydomain.org:8443/, in which case it causes browser errors saying the Certificate's issuer is not known.

When, in my browser, I first visit a port 443 URL, such as https://www.mydomain.org/, and SUBSEQUENTLY visit the admin panel, no error is returned!

I'm baffled. Thanks for your help!

Hi bjfield

In Plesk -> Server -> Certificates

Did you tick the cert and then click the Setup button above?

I just did this and it worked fine for me, for the control panel I didnt need set the cert as the default.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!

Got it! Thanks man! whew! I decifered that to mean, after I install the certificate, I go to Server > Certificates then check the box next to the certificate I want to use for the web server, then click setup (just to the right of Default) It then sets up the certificate on the server!

Sweet! Thanks man!
